About Michael

Hi, I’m Michael Valverde, a licensed clinical social worker. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, and moments in life where things feel uncertain, overwhelming, or stuck.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable, but internally they feel caught in patterns of overthinking, difficulty focusing, or carrying the weight of past experiences. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of those patterns, and begin moving toward the life you want to build.

My approach to therapy is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. ACT focuses on helping people develop psychological flexibility so they can respond to difficult thoughts and emotions in new ways. Rather than trying to eliminate discomfort entirely, the work is about learning how to move forward in meaningful directions even when challenges show up.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over six years working in crisis intervention. That experience gave me the opportunity to sit with people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. It shaped the way I approach therapy today with honesty, compassion, and deep respect for each person’s story.

I believe therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about helping you reconnect with your values, understand yourself more clearly, and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic.

I provide telehealth therapy for adults across Texas.
